Next Monday, 11th June heralds the opening night of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. This film festival provides a great opportunity to view some of the most interesting cinema in the world; with cinematic gems from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Festival co-ordinator Rose Damon tells us to expect everything “From Tamil action flicks to Bengali art house, to dazzling Bollywood extravaganzas” with the festival returning “with over 40 hot new films“. Although the festival screenings take place at Hoyts Melbourne Central, and Hoyts Chadstone -this festival might actually be the only good time to visit a mainstream cinema. Tickets are just $10 and professional Bollywood filmmakers are also running free workshops too. See the details below:
